A quick update today as to this weekends crack-antics.
The severe weather warnings in North Wales have seen me escape across the country to calm and sunny Hull. Inevitably, this led to a little play around on the resin cracks at Rock City. There are a fair few resin cracks inbetween the routes to have ago at, and the majority of them have conveniently got a top rope dangling nest to them so there’s no excuses! I spent a good few hours chucking my limbs about desperately in the hand and fist crack and being spat out of the varied offwidth. Once again left feeling a little more in tune. If you’re part of the Hull climbing scene – get down and give it a go! You won’t find any other crack facilities like theirs in this part of the country, and not many similar across the country!
Which is a shame really – as a nation that does produce great crack climbers , like Haston and the Wide Boyz, it’d make good sense to have a few more crack training routes about wouldn’t it?
